On-site Roll Forming Service
· In which areas do you offer on-site roll forming services? Currently, our on-site roll forming and coil pick-up services are exclusively available for job sites located within the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area in Texas. While our physical on-site production services are localized to the DFW region, our custom roll forming machinery is available for purchase and delivery nationwide.
· Who can use on-site roll forming services? Our on-site roll forming and mobile roof panel factory rental services are strictly Business-to-Business (B2B). This service is exclusively available to registered builders, general contractors, roofing contractors, and construction professionals. We do not offer this service to the general public or individual homeowners.
· Will my crew be responsible for operating the equipment when I get your on-site roll forming service? No, your crew will never have to operate the machinery. We do not offer standalone, bare-equipment rentals. Instead, we provide a complete turnkey production solution. Every service package includes a certified Potens Machinery technician who accompanies the mobile factory to your job site. Our expert handles the complete setup, calibration, and operation of the machine to ensure perfect precision and zero waste. Your team’s only responsibility is to catch, stack, and install the finished panels as they exit the roll former.
· Is a security deposit required to rent the machinery? No, a security deposit is not required. Because we provide a turnkey manufacturing service rather than a standalone equipment rental, your company assumes no liability for the machine itself. Our certified technician will bring the mobile factory to your site, operate it for the duration of the project, and safely remove it once the job is complete. To secure your scheduled production day, you only need to pay the flat daily service rate in advance.
· How can we ensure the production runs as quickly and efficiently as possible? To move faster and complete the job in the minimum amount of time, we strongly advise having your complete Cut List ready before our technician arrives at your job site. Having your exact panel measurements and quantities pre-calculated allows our technician to begin continuous production immediately after the machine is set up. This eliminates costly downtime, keeps your crew moving, and ensures you get the absolute most out of your 8-hour service window.
· Who is responsible for providing on-site safety equipment? Potens Machinery is strictly and only responsible for the safe operation of our roll forming equipment and providing the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for our certified technician. As the managing contractor, you are fully responsible for the overall safety of the job site. This includes providing all required safety gear, fall protection, and PPE for your own crew as they catch, stack, and install the panels.
· Are there specific space or accessibility requirements for the job site? Yes. To ensure a safe and efficient production process, your job site must be easily accessible and have adequate flat space to accommodate our equipment. Prior to your scheduled service date, Potens Machinery will perform an on-site inspection to verify that your location is eligible and has enough room for the roll former to operate safely. Additionally, please note that if you are ramping the finished panels directly up to a roof, you will need a minimum of 30 feet of clearance between the roll forming machine and the roof structure.
· What happens if there is inclement weather on my scheduled service date? Our on-site roll forming services are strictly weather permitting. Because we are operating electrical machinery and handling large metal panels outdoors, safety is our top priority. If there are inclement weather conditions on your scheduled date such as rain or heavy winds, we cannot safely run the equipment. In these situations, we will work closely with you to reschedule your service for a later, safer date.
· What are the on-site power requirements for the roll forming machine? Our mobile factory requires a standard 120-volt electrical connection on a dedicated 20-amp circuit. Our machine comes fully equipped with a 100-foot heavy-duty extension cord, so your power source simply needs to be within 100 feet of where the machine will be staged.
· What happens if my job site does not have active power or a sufficient electrical supply? If your job site lacks permanent power or a dedicated 20-amp circuit, simply let us know in advance. We can supply our own heavy-duty portable generator, complete with enough fuel to power the roll forming machine for your full 8-hour production shift. This generator and fuel package is available as an optional add-on for a flat fee of $350. Please note that this additional fee must be paid in advance along with your daily service rate.
· How far in advance should I book the on-site roll forming service? To ensure availability and a seamless production day, we request that you schedule your service at least three weeks prior to your target start date. This lead time allows us to conduct the required job site inspection and properly secure both the mobile factory and your certified technician on our calendar. For large projects, scheduling timelines and production durations may vary. These details will be thoroughly mapped out with you during your initial consultation.

Product-Specific Questions about Potens MF Mobile Roof Panel Factory
· What type of trailer is the Potens MF mounted on? The mobile factory is mounted on a robust, purpose-built 86-inch by 14-foot dual-axle trailer boasting a 10,000 lbs GVWR. Engineered for rugged job sites, it features an 11-gauge plate steel floor, electric brakes, a mounted spare tire, and four-corner leveling jacks to ensure perfectly stable and level panel production on uneven terrain.
· Does the machine come with one or two arbors, and what is the coil capacity? The base Potens MF package comes standard with a single expandable arbor mounted on a dual-capacity overhead reel rack. This single arbor supports coil widths up to 24 inches and weights up to 3,000 lbs (accommodating 15" to 21" ID and up to 42" OD). Because the rack is "dual-ready," you can easily purchase and drop in an optional second arbor at any time, which doubles your total carrying capacity to a massive 6,000 lbs of coil payload.
· How are the finished panels supported as they exit the roll former? The turnkey package includes two 10-foot variable height run-out tables, providing 20 feet of total continuous support for your finished panels. These tables safely catch the metal as it exits the machine, preventing damage and making it easy for your crew to stack or install the panels immediately. If you frequently run panels longer than 20 feet, additional run-out tables can be purchased as an optional add-on.
Product-Specific Questions about Trailer Integration Kit
· Why should I choose the Trailer Integration Kit over a fully assembled mobile factory? Shipping a fully built, heavy-duty trailer across the US and Canada can incur significant freight costs. We created the Potens TK to save you money on shipping. It is a highly cost-effective, ready-to-assemble package that gives you the hardware, support parts, and easy-to-follow plans to build a complete "Mobile Roof Panel Factory" using a trailer you source locally.
· What is included in the Kit, and how hard is it to assemble? Every kit comes with a detailed, step-by-step Installation Manual to make the assembly process as smooth and straightforward as possible. The hardware package includes a ready-to-install main support rack frame equipped with a coil entry guidance roller, one arbor with a maximum weight capacity of 3,000 lbs, and two 10-foot run-out tables that provide 20 feet of finished panel support right out of the box.

· Dimensions: Minimum 14 feet long by 77 inches wide (84 inches wide is highly recommended).
· Flooring & Frame: Smooth 10-gauge steel deck supported by C-Channel cross members spaced at least every 20 inches (16-inch spacing is highly recommended).
· Axles & Brakes: Double spring-type axles rated for 5,200 lbs each (10,400 lbs total capacity), equipped with two electric brakes.
· Stabilization & Securing: Four drop-down stabilizers (one on each corner for perfect on-site leveling) and ideally six D-Rings welded to the outside frame for tie-downs.
Product-Specific Questions about Standing Seam Tools
· What is a drill-powered mechanical lock seamer (accu seamer)? A drill-powered mechanical lock seamer is a power-assisted tool used in metal roofing to mechanically fold and lock standing seam panels together. By attaching a standard cordless drill, the seamer automatically glides along the roof panel, saving time and reducing the physical strain of manual hand-seaming.
· Will your mechanical lock seamers work with my cordless drill? Yes, our seamers are designed to be universally compatible with most standard 18V or 20V cordless drills. We recommend using a high-torque drill for the best performance on thicker sheet metal.
· What panel profiles and seam heights can your tools handle? Our seamers are specifically designed to accommodate standard 1-inch standing seam profiles. They can be easily configured to perform both single-lock (90-degree) and double-lock (180-degree) seams. For detailed specifications and exact dimension compatibility, please refer to the specific product page on our website.
· Are your seamers suitable for painted metal panels? Absolutely. Our seaming tools are equipped with non-marring polyurethane or specialized metal rollers designed to protect the finish of painted or coated roofing panels during the locking process.
· How do I maintain my mechanical lock seamer? To ensure longevity, keep the rollers clean and free of debris, dirt, or metal shavings. Periodically lubricate the moving parts.
· Do you sell replacement parts? Yes. If a roller or specific gear wears out from heavy use, you do not need to buy a brand new machine. We sell replacement parts for such needs please contact us.
Product-Specific Questions about Decoiler
· What size and weight of coils can the Decoiler accommodate? The Decoiler is built to handle heavy-duty production, safely supporting coil weights up to 3,500 lbs and coil widths up to 24 inches. Its highly adjustable arbor is designed to fit coils with an Inside Diameter (ID) ranging from 15 to 21 inches, and it can accommodate a maximum Outside Diameter (OD) of 42 inches.
· How does the Decoiler prevent material over-spin or backlash? Uncontrolled uncoiling can cause material damage and safety hazards. To prevent this, our Decoiler features a highly durable arbor controlled by two robust friction brakes. This dual-brake system allows the operator to precisely dial in the coil tension. When the roll forming machine stops pulling, the brakes prevent the coil from over-spinning, ensuring a smooth, waste-free feed for perfect panel production.
· Can I use the arbor from this Decoiler in my Potens MF Mobile Roof Panel Factory or Trailer Integration Kit setup? Will it fit? Yes. The arbor from this standalone decoiler is fully interchangeable and perfectly fits the overhead reel racks on both the Potens MF Mobile Roof Panel Factory and the Trailer Integration Kit. Because these setups feature a "dual-ready" rack, this arbor can easily be dropped in as your second arbor, seamlessly integrating into your system and expanding your payload capacity.
